Tamil Internet Conferences organized by INFITT cover all key technology & application related areas of Tamil computing, Tamil IT. The conference is addressed to the technology developers (academic, industrial and freelance hardware/software professionals as well as users of Tamil computing technology interpreted in a broad sense.
The conference held for 3 days is organized under three “hubs” each with a certain specific focus: i) a conference hub, core activity of the conference consist of several technical sessions where researchers and technology developers present new developments as well review the progress in various areas; ii) a community hub addressed to the Tamil diaspora community at large consist of several tutorial sessions for those interested to learn the technology developments and technology developers to present /showcase their products; and iii) an exhibition hub consisting of booths/stands where commercial vendors can display the hardware, software, and books available in the area of Tamil computing/IT.
The conference held annually is held alternatively in India (mostly Tamilnadu) and prime countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, North America, Western Europe,..) where Tamil Diaspora live in large numbers. So far INFITT has organized 18 Tamil Internet Conferences.
